MORE ABOUT THE NASHVILLE SOUNDS
For
over twenty-five years, The Nashville Sounds have been providing South Texas
with great country music. This six piece band utilizes excellent male and
female lead and harmony vocals, fiddle, steel guitar, piano, lead and bass
guitars, and drums to produce one of the most authentically pure country sounds
you will hear in this part of Texas, or anywhere else.
This experienced and solid band has opened shows for such greats as Willie
Nelson, John Conlee, Ricky Skaggs, Steve Wariner, Conway Twitty, Tammy Wynette,
Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis, Gatlin Brothers, Darrell
McCall, and countless others.
Although The Nashville Sounds' repertoire ranges from country to rock to tejano
music, the band's specialty is country music, ranging from classics by the likes
of Ray Price, Bob Wills, and Patsy Cline to the modern hits of contemporary
country artists such as George Straight, Alan Jackson, and the Dixie Chicks.
Founded by a father and his two sons, the band's stability and longevity has
allowed them to perform in virtually every dance hall in South Texas.
Currently this versatile family band performs in local San Antonio venues as
well as weddings, conventions, parties and all types of public and private
functions. The band has also performed at virtually all of the regional
festivals and county fairs, including the San Antonio Rodeo, Poteet Strawberry
Festival, St. Mary's Oyster Bake, La Semana Alegre, Night in Old Converse and
Helotes Cornyval, just to name a few.
